Position Overview:


The City of Saint John is seeking to recruit a highly skilled, team orientated and motivated Skilled Worker to join our Fleet Management team.

The incumbent will work in a multi-facetted department responsible for tasks required to perform vehicle and equipment oil & filter and lubrication services.

The safe operation and maintenance of vehicle hoist, fork lift and a variety of hand and power tools, as well as equipment with attachments utilized within the service area, is essential to the completion of assigned tasks.

Applicants must possess a completed diploma, certificate or degree of 1 year or more to be considered.

The aptitude to learn and to adapt to new workplace technologies, and the ability to develop in the municipal public service is essential.


The successful applicant will be eligible to work a compressed work week of 4 days (Monday to Thursday) throughout the trial period of the City's recently adopted Compressed Work Week Trial.

This schedule is subject to change.
