Addictions Medicine Opportunities

Fraser Health Department of Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services has opportunities for physicians to join our team Several opportunities throughout the region are available as a result of Fraser Health's rapidly expanding addiction services. We are a close knit, collaborative and friendly group of providers who genuinely enjoy the work that we do. There are a number of opportunities to join our team with varying time commitments including full time, part time and occasional.

Current Opportunities:

  1. Addiction Medicine Consult Teams – hospital based consult service. Location: Multiple
  2. Fraser North RAAC (Rapid Access to Addiction Care) Clinic – outpatient clinic. Location: New Westminster, BC.
  3. Fraser East RAAC clinic – outpatient clinic. Start date: immediately. Location: Abbotsford/Mission/Chilliwack.
  4. Virtual Health Addiction Clinic (VHAC) – virtual addiction consultation service. Start date: immediately. Location: Surrey, BC (or home based).
  5. OAT clinics – outpatient longitudinal OAT (Opioid Agonist Therapy) services in clinics across Fraser Health region.
  6. Roshni Clinic – outpatient addiction clinic providing services to patients of the South Asian diaspora

    There are many opportunities for intermittent coverage of our other addiction medicine services throughout the region. Please contact us for further details.

    Qualifications:

    We are looking for physicians who demonstrate an enthusiasm and passion for providing low barrier and equitable access to evidence based and evidence informed addiction medicine services. We are open to providing additional mentorship to those physicians who feel they may require additional support.

    The candidate must have an active license with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of BC. Previous experience providing addiction medicine services is an asset. ISAM or ABAM certification or CCFP(AM) are beneficial but not a requirement.
