About the role

We're looking for an IT Business Analyst Senior to supercharge our mobile team

This position reports to the Manager, Digital Products (Mobile App & Added-value features).

You'll be the critical link between Business, IT, and Quality Assurance, spearheading the creation and enhancement of a digital product that's not just the best in insurance – it's the best, period.

What you'll do here:

  • Analyze business needs to define IT solutions.
  • Lead, prepare and participate in business requirements workshops to specify IT solutions.
  • Make impact analysis and effort estimates to advocate, get approval, then document the IT solution using effective methods and interacting with both business users and the IT project team.
  • Support the development of solutions and monitor the velocity of the team.
  • Support test quality assurance activities and user acceptance tests.
  • Support Product Owners in handling their backlogs and prioritize work to be done.
  • Document User Stories effectively so they can be clearly understood by Front End, Back End developers and Quality Assurance.
  • Identify and convey the impacts on Business processes to support change management in Business units via train the trainer documents and procedures.
  • Build a solid, reusable, and thorough system documentation to be used by any stakeholders.


What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Project experiences in Agile SAFe mode.
  • Experience and knowledge in the insurance field.
  • Experience and knowledge of mobile apps.
  • Proficiency of JIRA & Confluence.
  • Knowledge of Figma, Adobe Analytics & Swagger.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
