Seeking a Law Clerk with 2-3 years of Canadian immigration experience to implement immigration strategies and manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment.

Our client is a busy mid-size law firm looking for a Law Clerk to work on temporary residence matters, including LMIA-based work permit applications and permanent residence matters, such as Express Entry-based PR applications and Family Sponsorship applications.

  • Implement various immigration strategies to deliver on clients' needs and mitigate immigration risks.
  • Research specific visa office/application type requirements and prepare initial lists of documents and information required for review by a lawyer.
  • Prepare application forms, drafts, and documents for work permit applications, study permit applications, temporary resident visas, permanent residence, and citizenship matters independently at the instruction of a lawyer.
  • Manage multiple files from beginning to end, including providing regular updates to clients.
  • Stay abreast of changes in immigration law, regulation, and policy.
  • Prepare applications for filing via government portals in a timely manner.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of Canadian immigration experience working on temporary residence matters and permanent residence matters.
  • Strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to relate to people at all levels.
