Job Title: Law Clerk

Bukhari Law Professional Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Law Clerk will provide administrative support to our lawyers and judges, ensuring the smooth operation of our law office. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to lawyers and judges, including preparing documents, managing files, and coordinating court appearances.
  • Assist with the preparation of legal documents, including contracts, wills, and other court documents.
  • Conduct research and gather information to support legal cases.
  • Interview clients, witnesses, and other related parties to gather information.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining filing systems and preparing court reports.
  • Represent clients in small claims court and other lower court proceedings.
  • Administer oaths and witness the validity of signatures on documents.
  • Record court commencement, trial proceedings, and judgments.
  • Draft legal correspondence and explain rights and obligations to defendants.
  • Oversee the maintenance of judicial court records.
  • Perform civil marriages and assist in preparing annual budgets.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a law office or related field.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 35 hours per week.
