Job SummaryAs a General Merchandise Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining and zoning the general merchandise area, and assisting with stocking and the sale of goods.
Key Responsibilities- Provides excellent customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers with product information, and resolving customer issues.
- Covers an assigned area on the sales floor, ensuring that all products are properly displayed and stocked.
- Zones assigned area, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Assists with front-end coverage, including working the cash register and handling customer transactions.
- Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained and that all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Contributes to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Stocks merchandise, picks, and downstocks products as needed, applying product protection when required.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred QualificationsWhile not required, having previous experience in retail or customer service would be an asset in this role.
