Position Summary

As a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in the retail industry while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves maintaining and zoning the bakery area, assisting with stocking and sales, and adhering to the company's basic beliefs and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
  • Maintain a fully stocked department and ensure that merchandise is properly signed and priced.
  • Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, food handling, product rotation, and expiration dates.
  • Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and food safety and handling.
  • Prepare bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure quality and visual appearance.
  • Ensure all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.
