Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at OPENLANE, a leader in automotive remarketing. As a Journeyman Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct general repair services, including brake jobs, exhaust system jobs, and front end alignments
  • Deliver general maintenance services, such as oil and fluid changes, tire changes, and vehicle check overs
  • Conduct frame inspections of vehicle undercarriages to ensure no cracks, bends, or other damage exists
  • Complete pre and post sale inspections, including test drives
  • Complete motor vehicle safety inspections, including body, frame, and damage checks
Requirements:
  • Journeyman Automotive Service Technician Certification Required
  • Experience in repair and service of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components on a variety of vehicles
  • Valid Drivers' License
  • Basic computer skills and ability to utilize a smartphone
Preferred Qualifications:
  • License to complete Motor Vehicle Inspections (MVI)
  • 5+ years experience
  • Proven ability as a team player
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a positive and professional attitude
