Nova Scotia Health is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Utility Worker to join our team. As a Utility Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

About the Role

  • Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas, adhering to established standards and proper cleaning and disinfecting techniques.
  • Perform general repetitive tasks, such as cleaning and restocking supplies, to ensure a smooth operation of the facility.
  • Participate in On-the-Job Training programs and seek clarification of duties when needed.
  • Offer assistance and instruction to coworkers and demonstrate a professional manner in work settings.

About You

  • Grade 12/GED required or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and methods that apply to a healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
