Job Title: Co-op, Mine/Geological/Environmental Engineering StudentThis is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies after a 16-month term.
- This position is not available for remote work.
- Applicants who express interest sooner will have the best chance of being matched with a position.
- Potential locations for Saskatchewan: Allan, Cory, Lanigan, Patience Lake, Vanscoy, Saskatoon and Rocanville.
- Assist the Engineering department with various duties, including:
- Collaborate on meaningful projects.
- Provide technical support on various key initiatives.
- Analyze data to support mine ventilation, rock mechanics, ground support testing, and report preparation.
- Work to optimize process and productivity in collaboration with maintenance, engineering and operations.
- May also be involved in design work and project management.
- Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Mine, Geological, or Environmental Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Demonstrated positive safety behavior and safety leadership.
- Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training.
- Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
- Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
- Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience.
