What You'll Be Doing

We are on the lookout for a Senior Technical Designer in Animation (TDiA) to join our Fortnite team. In this role, you'll leverage your animation expertise to design and implement gameplay animation systems that deliver top-notch character motion. You'll be the go-to person for animation-related technical challenges, working closely with various departments to ensure a seamless animation pipeline.

Responsibilities
  • Develop animation behavior tools and techniques for complex movement systems
  • Design and execute animation state machines and behaviors
  • Collaborate with different teams to troubleshoot and resolve animation-related issues
  • Maintain animation quality standards in the game
  • Enhance animation workflows and provide technical solutions
What We're Seeking
  • Strong animation skills with a focus on realistic and stylized character motion
  • Experience with animation pipelines and tools such as Maya and Unreal Engine
  • Exceptional problem-solving and teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of gameplay animation concepts and Unreal Engine Animation Blueprints
  • Background in AAA game development and familiarity with Unreal Engine
  • Coding skills or C++ knowledge is a plus
