The Communications Project Manager leads and co-ordinates all aspects of the current Web Renewal projects undertaken by the department. The Communications Project Manager identifies and tracks metrics as they relate to the project deliverables, and provides consultation, guidance and support to designated project staff, contractors and stakeholders.

What you'll do

  • Execute project plans and ensure the successful and coordinated completion of a Web Renewal Project roadmap; facilitate discussion with stakeholders as needed and ensure readiness for website redevelopment.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand project requirements, gather feedback to refine communication strategies, and ensure alignment with clear and consistant brand messaging and project goals.
  • Oversee the creation, review, and optimization of communication materials regarding articles, social media posts, and website content.
  • Translate functional terminology and communication requirements from business partners and stakeholders to technical strategies and technical teammembers. Ensure webiste functionality meets user friendlness goals and expectations.
  • Track project progress according to project plan and identified metrics. Monitor and report on the status of tasks and major barriers encountered. Make decisions and recommendations regarding project scope and related changes required to facilitate a successful outcome.
  • Implement or contribute to the implementation of effective processes to assess project risks, identify risk mitigation strategies and monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets within the context of operational demands and environmental and resource constraints and use best practice methods to thoroughly monitor and adhere to allocated budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with technical and professional staff, as well as internal stakeholders in cross-functioning environments.
  • Participates as a member of various project and team meetings to provide and collect information regarding communication strategy, creation, and publishing.

What you bring

Qualifications

A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master's Degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration or relevant Communications discipline with a minimum of seven (7) year's recent, related experience in project management and facilitating and managing web strategy consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups. Project Management Professional designation considered an asset.


• Experience with website governance, information architecture, user experience design, content strategy, and analytics is key to the success of this role.


• Recent training or education in Indigenous-specific racism and/or diversity, equity and inclusion and application to a digital experience is important.


• Experience facilitating in-person interviews and user experience workshops is also an asset.


• Excellent communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment including ability to communicate with the physician community.


• Tech savvy and experienced with content management systems (e.g. Drupal), Microsoft Office and project management applications.

Job Type: Casual full-time hours (37.5 hours per week)

Wage: $ $61.00/hour - as a casual employee, total earnings include an additional 13% in lieu of benefits and paid vacation. The rate for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate's relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan

Location: Vancouver, V6H 1G9

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week)
