We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As an active member of the patient care team, you will work collaboratively with individuals, families, and groups to promote movement, occupation, and function. Under the direction of the Manager of Seniors WZ, and under the supervision of a licensed health professional, you will be responsible for the safe and proficient delivery of assigned interventions for patients in movement and daily function.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. If you are a motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate who possesses the following qualifications and skills:
- Grade 12 or GED
- Rehabilitation Assistant Program (which includes both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy components)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Ability to communicate well with both patients and their families and staff
- Good interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with team members
- Organizational ability to complete assigned work and manage changing staffing and caseload levels
- Knowledge of proper body mechanics
- Demonstrate basic computer skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Access to reliable transportation

Hours- Long Assignment, Full-Time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
