We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Chilliwack General Hospital. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care and contributing to the health and well-being of our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical status, functional abilities, and needs to develop effective treatment plans.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal health outcomes, including physiotherapy diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plan development.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to provide patient-centered care and ensure seamless quality patient care.
- Evaluate and document the effectiveness of interventions, making adjustments as needed to achieve optimal functional independence and physical performance.
- Participate in maintaining quality patient care by identifying referrals for physiotherapy services, screening for priority of intervention, and facilitating referrals to appropriate health care/community programs.
- Establish a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families/caregivers, demonstrating empathy, trust, and respect, and advocating for their rights to privacy, dignity, and access to information.
- Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Knowledge of physiotherapy theory and practice within a patient and family-centered model of care.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, caregivers, and members of the interprofessional care team.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others, establishing workload priorities and adjusting to unexpected events.
