Your Contribution

As an Hygiene Health & Safety Technician, you will work in collaboration with the Hygiene Health & Safety team.

Your responsibilities will be:

Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.Co-ordinate and complete assigned activities with respect to the implementation and management of environmental projects including but not limited to:Carry out surveys related to Designated Substances and other Hazardous Materials, industrial hygiene investigation, asbestos and mould assessment, indoor air quality assessments, potable water surveys and radon surveys.Supervise and verify site remediation activities.Preparation of field notes, data analysis and evaluation.Participate in technical report and proposal writing.Participate in project meetings, office meetings, and health and safety inspections.Maintaining a commitment to exceeding client expectations by consistently delivering high-quality of work.Consistently maintaining professionalism and objectivity while working with colleagues and clients who require varying degrees of support.Handling difficult situations with tact and diplomacy to maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts.Develop and maintain client relationships. Conducting project administration tasks as required, including time-sheet generation, organizing and filing, equipment calibration and maintenance.Flexible schedule to work after regular business hours, weekends, and holidays (On occasion).
Your Profile

University degree or college diploma in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene or University Degree or College Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, Environmental Technology or an environmental-related fieldMinimum 1 year of relevant environmental assessment/field experience.Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) or Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) or Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) is preferred.Working knowledge of both provincial and federal environmental regulations.Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.Proficient with use of MS Office.Experience in supervising contractors on the work site.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and able to complete work within established timeframes;Team-oriented and an excellent communicator.Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.Travel to remote areas, away from your normal place of work may be required.Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
