Where We Work

The advantages of our approach are applicable to new asset developments as well as optimization projects in existing facilities across various industrial sectors. This encompasses areas such as biofuels and produced water treatment, natural gas processing, and petrochemical processing. Although our primary base is in Calgary, we also operate a satellite office in Houston.

Main Duties & Competencies

Vista is on the lookout for a Pipeline Engineer to broaden its project portfolio by venturing into buried and above-ground pipelines.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with CSA Z662 and ASME B31.3 pipeline standards
  • Knowledge of pipeline regulatory requirements for AB, BC, and SK
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of project experience in buried and above-ground oil, gas, steam, and water pipeline design
  • Proficiency in high-temperature pipeline design
  • Experience in pipeline material selection
  • Understanding of pipeline route selection and constructability prerequisites

Requirements:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in facilities engineering and design within the oil and gas sector
  • Engineering or applied science Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Capability to collaborate within a diverse team comprising process, mechanical, civil-structural, electrical, instrumentation, and piping engineers and designers
  • Sound familiarity with relevant codes and industry standards
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Self-driven with strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Registration as P.Eng. with APEGA
