Senior Business Architect Senior Business Architect

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Architect to join its Information Technology Services Enterprise Architecture team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in shaping the TTC's technology strategy and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Job Summary

The Senior Business Architect will be responsible for developing and implementing enterprise architecture solutions that drive business value and improve operational efficiency. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement enterprise architecture solutions that drive business value and improve operational efficiency
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT solutions that meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain architecture roadmaps and standards to ensure consistency and alignment with business goals
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior architects and other team members
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
Requirements
  • Completion of a college diploma or a university degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Business)
  • Considerable experience in hands-on design and implementation experience in one or multiple enterprise architecture domains (business, application, information, technology, solution)
  • Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders, including business leaders, IT professionals, and subject matter experts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading successful application and technology modernization and implementation
  • Experience designing complex solutions in a rapidly evolving technology domain
  • Experience in a senior architectural position and experience working with a diverse set of IT and business stakeholders
  • Knowledge of key aspects of the business as well as knowledge of all aspects of enterprise architecture
  • Understanding of SOA, object-oriented analysis and design, or client/server systems and an understanding of the enterprise goals & business context
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and data centre architecture, cloud solutions as well as application development methodologies
