DHL Express currentlyhas an opening for a Talent Acquisition Supervisorin ourBrampton, ONfacility.We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Talent Acquisition Supervisor to lead our recruitment team and drive our talent acquisition strategy. This role will manage a team of three recruiters responsible for sourcing both salaried and hourly roles, while also recruiting for senior-level positions. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) in talent acquisition, with a keen eye for innovative recruitment strategies and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role requiressomeone who excels in a fast-moving environment and someone who lives and breathes our company values beyond recruitment expertise.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters by building trust through 1-1's and providing regular coaching and feedback.
  • Oversee daily operations of the recruitment team and drive innovative talent strategies to source, attract, recruit, and select high-quality candidates.
  • Own the talent acquisition strategy, continually assessing/identifying gaps in current recruitment strategies and propose innovative solutions to improve recruitment processes.
  • Develop and implement DEIB-focused recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates, promote an inclusive hiring process that ensures equity and minimizes bias and collaborate with internal stakeholders to align recruitment practices with the organization's DEIB goals.
  • Work closely with the Talent Management and Employee Experience teams to ensure a seamless transition from candidate to employee and align recruitment strategies with talent management initiatives to support employee development and retention.
  • Champion Compliance through mandatory screening processes (DP screening, background checks) and adherence to the applicant tracking system policy as well as local/regional hiring guidelines.
  • Directly source and recruit for senior-level positions within the organization utilizing advanced sourcing techniques to attract top-tier talent.
  • Develop and maintain a network of potential candidates to foster a talent pipeline for future senior-level openings.
  • Regularly collaborate with Hiring Managers and HRBP's to deliver on hiring needs and advise on recruitment best practices, including interviewing techniques and candidate experience.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition to act as the go-to expert for recruitment-related queries and market trends.
  • Identify opportunities for training sessions to upskill the recruitment team as well as leaders/employees within the business.
  • Participate in networking events, attend job fairs and off-site recruitment programs to obtain a strong pool of candidates and to effectively meet hiring needs.
  • Champion automating processes and systems to eliminate or reduce manual processes and tasks.
  • Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics (including DEIB metrics) to assess effectiveness and determine strategies to improve recruitment outcomes as needed.
  • Prepare data on recruitment activities, challenges, and successes for senior management on a quarterly basis.
  • Partner with the marketing team to enhance the organization's employer brand through strategic marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Own the relationships with external partners, including universities, industry associations, and recruitment agencies.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Post-secondary education in HR.
  • 5+ years' experience in talent acquisition with at least 2 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • Certification in HR or talent acquisition an asset (e.g., CHRP, CTMP or other).
  • Proven track record in recruiting for senior-level positions.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and innovative sourcing techniques including DEIB recruitment strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in employer branding and recruitment marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly to processes and procedures.
  • Project management and negotiation skills an asset.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Oracle-based software, and Power BI.
  • Self-motivated, agile, and able to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Great at building connections inside and outside the company.
