About the OpportunityReporting to the Health Services Manager, the Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for:
- Initiating and managing invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation
- Delivering and managing oxygen and other compressed gases
- Performing and interpreting pulmonary diagnostic testing
- Acting as an expert in advanced airway management
Duties may also include working in the Pulmonary Function Testing Lab, Asthma Clinic, COPD Clinic, and Sleep Lab, as well as patient or staff education sessions.
About YouWe're looking for a Respiratory Therapist with:
- Graduate of a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy
- Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists
- Certification in CPR at NRP and ACLS levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective planning, organizing, and supervising abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Adaptability and flexibility to adjust to changing needs
- Competencies in other languages an asset
- Permanent Part-time 30%; 22.5 hours bi-weekly
$40.66/hourly
