As such, we are looking for a committed individual to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be laser-focused (no pun intended) on product quality and customer satisfaction. This dynamic opportunity involves the full spectrum of coordination across assembly, quality assurance, and packaging of mechanical, optical, and electronic components, sub-assemblies, products, and systems.
The Role and What You Will Do: Reporting to the Production and Quality Control Manager, this individual will have multi-functional responsibilities across the manufacturing operation:
Assembly:
- Coordinate the activities of customer-specific products in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsibility for set-up of complex tools, fixtures, and test & measurement equipment.
- Develop and produce specific subassemblies to meet customer specifications.
- Lead the testing & troubleshooting of components, assemblies, and final products.
- Lead the inspection and repair of components, assemblies, and products.
- Assist in new product implementation (NPI) activities (i.e. pilot builds, developing new work instructions).
- Complete checklists and reporting as required for industry compliance and traceability.
- CRM and ERP analysis and reporting, including establishing work schedules.
- Responsible for QA audit checklists.
- Assist with the receiving and staging of all incoming manufacturing materials.
- Assist with the packaging of finished products and systems for delivery.
- Lead the development and execution of in-depth training programs and certification processes for galvanometer proficiency.
- College diploma preferred in Electronics / Electro-Mechanical / Optics technology.
- Demonstrative experience building and testing galvanometers is highly valued and considered critical for success in this role.
- Demonstrative experience tuning and calibrating galvanometers; both optically and electronically using oscilloscopes and related technologies.
- Ability to interpret assembly procedures, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
- Ability to document and record test results and report daily labor and material consumptions.
- Demonstrative ability to use complex manufacturing tools, fixtures, and test equipment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift 40lbs occasionally, to shoulder height.
Reporting and Conditions:
This role reports to the Production & Quality Control Manager. General Work Condition specifications are as follows:
- Light assembly work daily
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs occasionally, to shoulder height.
- Safety consciousness is imperative.
