As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of nursing practice and providing exceptional resident care.

  • Provide high-quality care to residents while following established protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Organize and direct care-related activities and functions to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  • Assist in managing the work of nursing and personal care staff.
  • Train and develop new staff members, referring concerns to the Director of Care.

Requirements

  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Registration/eligibility with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
