**Job Summary:** Manage transportation operations for Amazon's Middle Mile and Cross-Border programs, overseeing network design, capacity planning, and cost optimization. Job Description

The Middle Mile and Cross-Border execution team is responsible for overseeing aspects including DEA, Speed, OB Trans Network Design, Capacity Planning for Sort Centers and Amazon Air, and managing overall Trans Outbound Costs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing volume-related escalations, variations in volume compared to planned figures, and overseeing Linehaul and VAA operations
  • Monitoring, sharing, and bridging performance metrics (DEA, volume share analysis, capacity available vs plan) on a daily/weekly basis
  • Coordinating with FC, ACES, Network Design, and TESS teams for network design changes and maintaining a seamless flow of information and coordination among these teams to optimize network performance
  • Identifying and driving initiatives to improve capacity, cost to serve, speed, and connectivity
  • Creating and successfully executing working backwards plans for events by collaborating with cross-functional teams

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day execution, ensuring successful delivery, and driving network optimization
  • Using analytics, dashboards, and queries to deep dive and improve network share, volume attainment, DEA, and other performance metrics
  • Partnering with STP/MTP/LTP teams in potential expansions, launches, and deprecations
  • Setting clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics
  • Navigating and resolving ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills
  • Fostering collaboration with internal and external partners to successfully plan and deliver for HVEs
  • Evaluating and prioritizing projects in conjunction with impact and urgency
  • Identifying and mitigating risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues
  • Regularly communicating with senior managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives
  • Ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance
  • Managing and communicating project status effectively and timely
About the Team

Our team manages the Middle Mile (MM) for Canada's domestic and Cross-border transportation programs. We work with stakeholders in planning, network design, fulfillment centers (FCs), sort centers (SCs), last mile (LM), Amazon Air, and linehaul (LH), to plan and execute MM strategies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of program or project management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology, experience in data mining, requirement gathering, and writing clear and detailed requirement documents, intermediate-level Excel skills, and experience with SQL
