Principales responsabilités

  • Architecturer, concevoir, construire et résoudre des problèmes complexes et systématiques dans le domaine des flux de travail de pipeline Houdini pour le département d'éclairage 3D
  • Recueillir les exigences dans le cadre d'efforts de collaboration à grande échelle qui couvrent plusieurs départements et/ou disciplines
  • Rédiger des résumés techniques et de la documentation pour les utilisateurs
  • Collaborer avec la direction du développement logiciel et l'équipe de pipeline pour identifier et planifier les tâches

  • Au minimum 5 ans d'expérience dans l'écriture de code pipeline Katana à l'aide de Python
  • Capacité à écrire du code Python propre et bien structuré
  • Compréhension de la conception d'objet orientée
  • Talent démontré pour concevoir des flux de travail intuitifs et conviviaux pour les artistes sans renoncer à la fonctionnalité

As a Lighting Pipeline Developer, you will bring your deep knowledge of Katana multi-shot lighting workflows and tool development to help design and build a Houdini Solaris lighting pipeline.

You will collaborate with our Houdini experts to introduce tried-and-true, studio-scale workflows to the Solaris framework and leverage your extensive production experience to create intuitive and self-documenting tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, build and solve complex, systematic problems in the domain of Houdini pipeline workflows for lighting departments
  • Gather requirements across large collaboration efforts that span multiple departments and/or disciplines
  • Write technical briefs and user documentation
  • Partner with software development leadership and pipeline team to identify and schedule tasks
Minimum Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years of experience writing Katana pipeline code using Python
  • Ability to write clean well structured Python code
  • Understanding of object-oriented design
  • Demonstrated talent for designing intuitive, artist-friendly workflows without sacrificing functionality
Preferred Qualifications

  • Background as a lighter using Katana in production
  • General understanding of rendering technology
  • Familiarity with Deadline
  • Familiarity using Houdini, especially writing pipeline code
  • Familiarity with OpenUSD/ Hydra
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
