About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service: Provide exceptional client service to support the achievement of business objectives, including coordinating marketing activities, scheduling appointments, and handling clients' general day-to-day requests and inquiries.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the advisory team with day-to-day administration, including generating reports and documents, processing items for client accounts and files, and maintaining and organizing client database and client files.
  • Team Support: Provide support to team members on technology issues, use of new technology, and general inquiries and escalations related to policies, procedures, and processing.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Follow through on risk and compliance processes and policies to ensure the safeguarding of clients' assets, maintenance of their privacy, and adherence to regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Typically between 1 - 2 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of wealth management company and branch operations, familiarity with technology applications and software used in the financial planning and investment industry, and successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and the Conduct and Practices Handbook exam within 18 months from date of hire.
  • Personal Qualities: Verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, collaboration and team skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and basic specialized knowledge.
