West Fraser is seeking an Operational Planner to join its North Central Woodlands division in Slave Lake, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing harvest and road plans, coordinating quality control field work, and liaising with government officials.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop harvest and road plans that meet legal requirements and company policy
- Coordinate and complete quality control field work on road and block layout
- Contract administration and supervision
- Liaise with government officials
- Manage GIS data and incorporate information into products
- Possess a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Professional Forester Tech (RPFT) designation for Alberta
- Strong commitment to safety
- Strong proficiency with ArcGIS applications
- Be a dynamic, career-minded individual
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be highly motivated with proven organizational skills
