We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Manager to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with established standards and policies.
- Develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring that residents receive individualized care that meets their unique needs.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing coaching and training as needed.
- Resident Care
- Ensure that residents receive high-quality care that is delivered in a safe and respectful manner.
- Monitor resident health and well-being, identifying and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that residents receive comprehensive care.
- Facility Operations
- Assist in the preparation of the facility for RAI MDS, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Take charge of the facility in the absence of the Director of Care, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Qualifications and Requirements
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous managerial experience in long-term care, preferably in a leadership role.
- Experience working with cognitively impaired residents.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, including infection control.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with seniors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
