B Train Driver (Class 1) - Fort Saskatchewan About Magnum Services

Founded in 2008, Magnum Services is a well-established cementing service company with a broad operational footprint in North America. We provide primary and remedial oilfield cementing services, downhole isolation technologies, soil stabilization, and fluid services to various industries, including oil & gas, agriculture, construction, roads, and infrastructure.

About the Role

As a B Train Driver (Class 1) at Magnum Services, you will operate and care for field equipment, perform shop maintenance, and support the operational business under the direction of the Station Manager. This role works closely with Dispatch and Operators and is considered a safety-sensitive position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to support company values and objectives.
  • Assist with rigging in and rigging down units on location.
  • Operate and maintain equipment related to oil and gas well cementing, including pumpers, dustless mixers, hydraulics, and high-pressure pumps.
  • Regularly inspect equipment and perform maintenance according to Magnum's procedure and maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the vehicle, including emergency contact information and safety certifications.
  • Ensure efficient handling of day-to-day operations and communicate effectively with clients and internal departments.
  • Adhere to and enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with HSE legislation and DOT regulations.
  • Establish and maintain procedures to ensure high levels of service and participate in training and development activities.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 (Canada) / Class A CDL (U.S.) driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 1 year of Super B driving experience.
  • Able to couple and uncouple trailers.
  • Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg, bending, standing, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
  • Able to work a 15 days on, 6 days off rotational schedule, remaining fit for duty at all times.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in oil and gas field operations.
  • Class 1 (Canada) / Class A CDL (U.S.) driving experience on all types of roads.
  • Maintenance knowledge, mechanically inclined, and ability to troubleshoot.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable, and dependable.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change.
  • Understands the importance of safety.
  • Team player and customer service focused.
  • Demonstrated initiative and results-oriented.
