Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Signaling Superintendent to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. As a key member of our Field Supervision department, you will be responsible for supervising train control and signaling operations on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise train control and signaling operations on construction projects
  • Perform daily inspections of work performed
  • Act as liaison and coordinator between contractors and engineered equipment suppliers
  • Solve problems that arise
  • Establish budgetary guidelines for the job and ensure cost control measures are being followed
  • Provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel
  • Establish quality standards of all jobs and ensure that all quality assurance and company standards are being met
  • Develop and manage job schedules, coordinate work with contractors and deliveries with suppliers, and ensure inspections are scheduled appropriately
Requirements
  • 8 years of relevant work experience within the construction industry
  • Experience supervising crews
  • Broad understanding of technical train control systems, including underground layout/installation and equipment installation, as well as above ground systems layout and installations, such as conduit and cable tray systems
  • Ability to manage and interface with train control engineered equipment suppliers
  • Ability to communicate successfully with various project teams, sub-contractors, vendors, and clients
  • Working knowledge of computers and experience with the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills
  • Must be able to access all points of a construction site
