Position Overview

Are you passionate about digital content creation and looking to make a significant impact in the entertainment industry? Autodesk's Look Development team in Media & Entertainment is looking for an experienced software developer to contribute to LookdevX in Maya. Reporting to our Senior Software Development Manager, you'll help us develop industry-leading software that helps create the Film and TV shows you love to watch, and the games you love to play. Your work will span a diverse range of product areas and technologies and you'll grow your skills through exposure to several VFX and games technologies, and open-source initiatives like USD, MaterialX, and OCIO. You will contribute to technical design and other aspects of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality C++ code across different internal and open source projects, on multiple platforms
  • Collaborate on technical designs
  • Work with a cross-functional, agile team to improve functional requirements
  • Ensure new code conforms to standards and meet feature specifications
  • Participate in peer code reviews
  • Write and maintain automated tests to ensure that software is stable and reliable
  • Engage with customers to understand and resolve their problems

Minimum Qualification

  • 5+ years of relevant C++ software development experience
  • Motivated to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Experience with troubleshooting software products
  • Experience with high-level programming languages (e.g., C++)
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python)
  • Understanding of spoken and written English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cross-platform development experience (Windows, Linux, OS X)
  • Experience with look development, Maya, Max, USD, MaterialX, 3D modelling, animation and rendering applications
