Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse at Misericordia Health Centre, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. Our team provides a spectrum of health care services through an integrated network of sites, services, and organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional registered nursing services for patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
- Administer prescribed medical treatments and facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge.
- Lead the healthcare team and demonstrate a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility/unit.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.
- Recent, related experience is an asset (up to 2 years of experience may be required or preferred).
- Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses, Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses, and Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, critical thinking/problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
- Ability to recognize and pursue self-development opportunities.
- Ability to perform independently and as a member of the healthcare team.
