Job Title: Food and Beverage Server
Join our team at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver as a Food and Beverage Server and be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests and ensuring that every dining experience is memorable.
Job Summary- Prepare and present food in a visually appealing manner
- Set up and operate action stations for banquets and buffets
- Carve and serve meats as requested by guests
- Support banquet and buffet operations by ensuring adequate stock of all items
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare foods
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
- Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
- Monitor food quality while preparing food
- Set-up and break down work station
- Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of related work experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
