Housekeeping Aide - Casual Position

Join our team at Southbridge Care Homes as a Housekeeping Aide - Casual. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our resident homes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning and disinfecting tasks using specified agents and following established procedures, routines, and work patterns.
  • Collect and sort laundry, following specific instructions for treatment and separation.
  • Operate laundry equipment, report malfunctions, and maintain laundry facilities and supplies.
  • Ensure resident privacy and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, and safety.
  • Perform outside work, such as snow removal and sanding, as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments on tasks such as transferring residents and moving supplies.
  • Participate in company meetings and attend in-service education programs.
Qualifications
  • Ability to lift, reach, squat, kneel, and climb ladders, with exposure to biochemical agents and wet floors.
  • Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read and write English and follow simple written and verbal instructions.
  • French speaking is an asset, but not a requirement.
