This is a fixed-term co-op position, 4 months in duration, starting April 2025. As an Occupational Hygiene, Masters Co-op student, you will gain valuable experience, knowledge, and contribute to shaping our mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Vale's Safety Policies, Programs, and Legislative Standards
- Develop skills and abilities related to the provision of engineering in Ontario
- Ensure compliance to applicable laws, standards, and guidelines
- Provide technical support for safe and efficient operations in an industrial plant, mine, or production laboratory
- Complete assigned projects safely and on time, including engineering document scanning, engineering standard editing, data analysis, and reporting
About You
We are looking for students currently enrolled in a Masters of Occupational Hygiene or similar program.
Requirements:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products, including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Must be passionate about safety and risk
- Demonstrated understanding of key concepts and theory related to Occupational Hygiene
