Bakery Specialist

Whole Foods Market is seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking high-quality products that meet our company's quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Product Preparation: Measure, mix, and prepare raw materials according to company specifications and recipes.
- Baking and Quality Control: Form, cut, mold, shape, and bake dough to ensure products meet our quality standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor cooking completion times and set heat and humidity temperatures for proof box.
- Sanitation and Safety: Ensure temp, sweep, and sanitation logs are completed, and maintain a clean and sanitary working environment.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques.
- Inventory Management: Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
- Education and Experience: 6-12 months retail experience.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills and Abilities: Thorough product knowledge, working knowledge of merchandising expectations, basic math skills, and ability to use point of sale electronic systems.
Whole Foods Market offers a competitive hourly rate of $24.30, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan benefits, and paid time off.
