Accounting Technician role requires analyzing and processing accounts payable, maintaining payables procedure and policy, and reporting analysis summaries to senior management.

Accounting Technician

We're looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with a strong analytical mindset to join our team as an Accounting Technician.

  • Implement and maintain payables procedure and policy with Operations
  • Process aging outstanding invoices, corrections, and journal entries in the system for Operations
  • Report analysis summaries as required to Senior Management for Compass and Vendor
  • Escalate issues to upper-level management as required
  • Manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Administrate company vehicle tickets process, including verifying tickets and payment processing

Key qualifications include:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Accounts Payable/Accounting
  • Excellent analytical, time management, interpretive, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Intermediate to advanced user in Excel)

Assets:

  • Experience with JD Edwards
  • Bilingual (French)
