About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our team as an Assistant Hydrovac Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the operation of hydrovac equipment and performing various duties in a variety of working environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the operation of hydrovac equipment and perform hydrovac duties in a variety of working environments, including confined spaces.
  • Attend safety meetings and participate in the development and implementation of safety protocols.
  • Perform routine inspections and minor repairs of hydrovac equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Prepare work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Document and report all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently, including Badger, Federal, provincial, and customer documentation.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 5 license (G license in Ontario) with airbrake endorsement.
  • CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection, and OSHA 10 certification preferred.
  • Ability to work variable shifts with extended hours and travel up to 25%.
  • Must be willing to lift, push, pull 50+ pounds and have the physical stamina for manual labor in varying weather conditions.
  • Prior hydrovac equipment operation or related industrial experience preferred.
