Job Title: Inventory Management Specialist
Reports to: Operations Supervisor
Shift: Days
Location: Milton, ON Canada
CEVA Logistics makes business flow by designing and implementing industry-leading solutions in freight management and contract logistics. Our team of 41,000 dedicated employees delivers operational excellence across our integrated worldwide network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design and development of the in-house inventory management program
- Support the daily, weekly, monthly cycle count program for the site, ensuring compliance to SLA requirements
- Support the Replenishment/Slotting team
- Identify and assist with resolving inventory discrepancies
- Assist with planning and undertaking periodic (annual) wall-to-wall physical inventory count
- Generate and analyze reports from the inventory management system for management
- Follow company policies/procedures and Quality/safety/HR related policies and procedures
- Ensure daily reporting of operational/quality requirements are completed
- Perform special projects as required by the Inventory Control Supervisor
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in an operations or distribution environment with specific experience in inventory management
- College Diploma required, with background in logistics/supply chain a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with customers and employees
- Problem solving, conflict resolution, decision making, and planning/organizing skills
- Excellent written/oral communication and listening skills
- Ability to multi-task and excellent time management and computer skills
- Must be creative and possess the ability to think outside the box
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Fast-paced distribution center environment
- Conveyor machinery noise; material handling equipment traffic
- Constant sitting with frequent standing and walking through the shift
- Occasionally may need to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Some kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting
- Most work on a computer on a desk with some elements of picking, packing as required
- Ascending and descending stairs, ladders, and ramps
