Cargo Manager Job Summary

The Cargo Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of cargo activities at Mirabel and Dorval airports. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily cargo operations, ensuring staff are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain and improve customer and company safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers and airport authorities.
  • Assign and manage staff tasks, ensuring adequate coverage and resource allocation.
  • Conduct daily briefings with management to discuss operational updates and challenges.
  • Provide coaching and training to employees to enhance operational performance.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, and participate in disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Investigate and document incidents and accidents, ensuring timely completion of reports.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience in cargo management, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • Previous ground handling experience is an asset.
  • Proven staff management skills, with a focus on leadership and customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in French and English (oral and written).
  • Valid driver's license and airside permit (D/A) are mandatory.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs.
