Job Title: Junior Splicer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Splicer or Splicer Apprentice to join our dynamic team at Worldwide Satellite. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in the fiber optic industry.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of experienced technicians, learning the essential skills required for splicing and maintaining fiber optic networks. Key responsibilities include assisting in the installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables, as well as learning to perform splicing of fiber optic cables both aerially and underground in accordance with industry standards.

Key Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or relevant coursework in telecommunications or electronics is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of fiber optic technology and telecommunications is preferred.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to handle small, delicate components.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
