Join our team as a Data Administrator, Clinical Trials at BC Cancer, where you will play a vital role in managing and recording clinical trials data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with trial protocols and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize and maintain study files and documentation, ensuring completeness and compliance with ICH-GP standards.
- Collect, extract, and input data into in-house and external databases, utilizing coding systems and resources as required.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of data collection tools and regulatory documentation.
- Maintain and create user accounts, ensuring secure access to sensitive information.
- Complete study case report forms and other documents within required timeframes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Retrieve or request data by identifying selection parameters for retrieval, utilizing automated information systems.
- Determine data quality and integrity, reviewing data capture for accuracy and completeness, and updating and correcting deficiencies as needed.
- Report assigned information to relevant sources, following established time schedules and procedures.
- Attend and participate in meetings relevant to data capture, management, and clinical trial implementation.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities, providing input and feedback to supervisors on processes and opportunities for improvement.
- Completion of a recognized Health Record Administration Program with eligibility for membership in the Canadian College of Health Records Administrators at the Certificate level.
- One year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to perform data capture, management, and retrieval using automated information systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of ICH Guidelines.
- Aptitude for detail and ability to operate related equipment.
- Interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively and physically perform the duties of the position.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
- Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism principles.
