Securiguard seeks a dynamic Operations Coordinator to support our expansion in our newly established London Ontario office. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you'll ensure smooth communication with our front-line security staff and will streamline scheduling. This role demands quick thinking, a metrics-driven mindset, and strong multitasking skills.

What you would do:

  • Being the first point of contact for employees and staff, the Operations Coordinator will ensure that all concerns & issues are addressed in a timely manner. This may mean coordinating with staff requests that require follow-ups.
  • Scheduling employees while following the Ontario Employment Standards including coordinating with employees regarding vacation/leave requests.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to all clients, guards, prospective clients and Securiguard representatives.
  • Managing and overseeing employee information changes and general communications.
  • Managing communications regarding scheduling changes and employee requirements with all clients.
  • Working closely with site supervisors/managers for staffing, uniforms, certification and supplies required for site.
  • Providing support to the recruitment department by assisting in pre-screening, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process.
  • Maintaining accurate, detail orientated record keeping and reporting.
  • Coordinating site specific training and certifications.
  • Managing all pay rates and overtime for each employee to ensure employment standards are being followed.

What you bring:

  • 2+ years of scheduling and/or operations coordination experience
  • Experience in recruitment would be an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in business administration, human resources, or other related fields would be considered an asset
  • Enthusiastic and committed approach to customer service.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills with a 'hands-on' problem solving approach and able to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines efficiently.
  • Must be able to work weekends and evening shifts.
  • Applicants must possess a valid driver's license issued by the province of Ontario.
