Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Forensic Community and Liaison Social Worker to join our team at BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients, families, and community partners to provide comprehensive support and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address the complex needs of clients.
  • Provide case coordination and advocacy services to ensure seamless transitions and access to community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client interactions and progress.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Two years of recent experience working in a mental health setting.
  • Registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW) is required.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Current CPR Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Indigenous-specific anti-racism initiatives and commitment to reconciliation.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and communities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
