Job Description:
As a tax expert, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement high-level tax planning strategies for clients. You will also be expected to supervise and mentor tax staff while providing continuous feedback.

Additionally, you will need to coordinate and review special tax projects, as well as assist with the overall management and marketing of the tax group.


Qualifications:


To be considered for this role, you must have a CPA designation and have completed, or be close to completing, the CICA In-Depth Tax Program.

It is also essential that you possess proficiency in CaseWare, Caseview, Taxprep and Microsoft Office.
You should have experience in Canadian Tax at a public accounting firm at the manager level.
You should have the ability to build strong working relationships with partners, clients and related advisors.

In-depth knowledge of private company Canadian income tax matters are necessary, and you should have strong technical skills combined with a creative flair to provide practical solutions.

Sound analytical, leadership, problem-solving skills, and professional judgment are a must.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills are also highly valued. You must have a high standard of integrity and commitment to exceptional client service.
The ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly are essential. You should be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Finally, you should be committed to a life-long learning approach and constantly improving your knowledge pertaining to this position.
