Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role at Fraser Health Authority is a dynamic and rewarding position that requires a high level of skill and expertise in patient care. As an LPN, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients, focusing on their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their strengths and limitations, and develop individualized care plans to address their needs.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized practical nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to organize work and implement a plan of care, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Knowledge and competencies to work at full scope of practice as currently required by the BCCNM, including administering medications.
