Job Summary:

This is a 1-year fixed contract position that requires a strong leader with excellent project management skills, technical expertise, and commercial business acumen. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of project managers, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for complex new business opportunities with existing and potential new clients.
  • Attend technical meetings to define project scope and objectives.
  • Research and support the definition of new business opportunities.
  • Meet with clients to discuss project progress and completion.
  • Evaluate client production processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support business managers in attending business reviews and client meetings.
Project Management:
  • Ensure the Technology Transfer team meets client requirements and project objectives.
  • Generate key documentation, including project timelines and action item lists.
  • Assign and coordinate project tasks, identify root causes of technical problems, and manage project teams.
  • Attend project meetings with site management to share project timelines and milestones.
Team Management:
  • Manage, coordinate, and control workload for direct reports. li>Ensure the right level of team training and development to guarantee high performance and motivation.
  • Mentor and coach team members to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, pharmacy, or business.
  • Master's degree in science, engineering, pharmacy, or business is an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in engineering, production, quality, or relevant contract manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years' project management and/or client service experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to lead a team of project managers.
  • Advanced negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, including client relationship management and conflict resolution.
  • Commercial business orientation and financial competency.
  • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing/operational processes and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members.
Standards and Expectations:
  • Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Work harmoniously with fellow team members and model positive team principles.
  • Carry out all duties within strict compliance to Patheon quality systems SOP's and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
