Welder position available at United Engineering Ltd. in Victoria, British Columbia. The successful candidate will assist in the fit up of metal components and welding of fabricated assemblies.

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be able to work under pressure, and have knowledge of different metal alloys and their properties.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Provide routine maintenance of welding equipment.
  • Adhere to workplace safety policies and regulations.
  • Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries to the supervisor.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and provide quality customer service.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the position.

**Qualifications:**

  • Must hold a Journeyman's certificate.
  • Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training.

**Requirements:**

  • C.W.B Welding Certification (current) in both FCAW & SMAW.
  • Pressure certification.
  • PWP-10 Training.
  • Experience welding stainless steel preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to set goals and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Mature, professional, and optimistic attitude.
  • Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills.

**Work Conditions:**

  • Physical ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
  • Travel to off-site locations may be required.
  • Safety equipment will be required.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Hazards associated with the trade.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors.
