Accounts Receivable/Credit Manager

Answering directly to the VP Finance, and working closely with the Sales Manager, and Senior Accountant, the Accounts Receivable/Credit Manager will be responsible for the credit granting process, including consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers and the assessment of the credit worthiness of potential customers for the Phillips Bridge Seafood and Pêcheries Bas-Caraquet Fisheries entities. The Accounts Receivable credit manager will also be responsible for processing sales orders and invoice transactions and managing the accounts receivable collection processes. They will be instrumental in ensuring accurate sales data for financial reporting and will collaborate with other departments to enhance efficiency and improve processes in the sales, credit and collection processes.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field and 3-5 years experience in a mid sized accounting department working in accounts receivable, collections or a related accounting function. They will have a general understanding of the accounting function with strong specific knowledge of requirements to successfully manage credit and A/R, as well as:
· Experience with EDC or other receivable insurance providers, and an understanding of the required supporting documentation for a claims process.
· A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP system.
· Execllent communication, written, research, problem solving and time management skills.
· High level of accuracy, efficiency, time management, and accountability.
· Proven experience in credit and collection roles.
· Fluency in both French and English would be an asset.
The Credit manager will be a vital part of a team focussed on Quality, Consistency, Food Safety, Value, Sustainability, Integrity and Loyalty.
Phillips Bridge Seafood ULC is a Live and processed lobster manufacturer with plants located in PEI Canada. Pecheries Bas-Caraquet Fisheries is a snow crab and processed lobster manufacturer located in Bas-Caraquet NB.
The position is on site in our temporary Cap Pele NB office, with plans to relocate to Moncton within the next year.
This is a Full-time position with company benefits package. Salary commensurate with experience.
