Ryder is a leading logistics and transportation company that values diversity and inclusion in the workplace. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler II to join our team.

Job Summary

The Material Handler II is responsible for accurately transferring product into and out of warehouse locations, loading and unloading trailers, and performing inventory counts as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately pull orders as assigned and stage orders according to carrier location
  • Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
  • Verify the number of pallets picked and stage location
  • Recognize and correct potential process errors and damaged product
  • Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation
  • Follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures
  • Train others in various warehouse functions and perform housekeeping duties
Additional Responsibilities
  • May be required to drive a company vehicle and undergo a Motor Vehicles Records (MVR) check
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year or more of related warehouse experience preferred
  • One year or more of powered industrial lift experience preferred
  • Powdered industrial truck certification
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read, do basic mathematics, and understand written and verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to input data into computer systems
  • Ability to work overtime as assigned
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, and excellent time management skills
  • Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
