Database Developer

Join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and be part of building a revolutionary new transactional database technology that will transform how businesses design, operate, and scale core applications.

We're looking for a skilled Database Developer to help us create a world-class developer experience by designing and implementing developer-friendly tools and systems.

About the Role
  • Develop database drivers, APIs, and SDKs that provide seamless and intuitive access to our database technology across various programming languages and frameworks.
  • Design and implement developer-friendly tools and systems that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with distributed systems, focusing on performance and concurrency engineering.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • 1+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
  • 1+ years of experience with distributed systems, including performance and concurrency engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year, dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
