Job Summary:

The Member Solutions Advisor is a key role in our member advice centre, responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, identifying member needs, and providing tailored financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Member Service:
    • Build strong relationships with current and potential members
    • Identify member life stage cycle and provide financial advice
    • Refer members to appropriate advisors as needed
    • Provide back-up support for inbound calls and emails
  • Member Transactions:
    • Process a full range of member transactions, including account openings, deposits, and loan applications
    • Provide support for debit/credit cards, overdraft protection, and lines of credit
    • Assist with loan interviews and follow-up phone calls as required
  • Goals and Objectives:
    • Support achievement of annual team and individual goals
    • Proactively promote FW products and services
    • Participate in campaigns and seek cross-sell and referral opportunities
    • Achieve established annual sales and referral targets
  • Support and Technical Support:
    • Perform administrative duties, including estate administration and loan applications
    • Conduct credit investigations and provide technical support as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • College Trade or Tech School Diploma (2 years) in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Completion of the internal First West certification program within the required timeframe
  • 2 years of retail banking experience in a sales/service-focused position, or equivalent required
  • Financial services, call centre, or customer support experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to identify needs and recommend products and services
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and solve problems using common sense and sound judgment
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workload
  • Proficient in computer software programs, including Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of risk and risk ownership, with ability to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures
